HONOLULU, Hawaii (KITV)– On Saturday, Hawai’i Foodbank is actively working to support those affected by the devastating fires on Maui

The organization is coordinating donations of food, water and supplies from O’ahu and from the continental united states to Maui food bank.

The Hawaii Foodbank is actively working to support its neighbors that the Maui food bank.

One in six Hawaii residents are facing hunger daily, and with the wildfires there is a growing need for food.

“Every donation counts no matter how big or small, every gift really counts. every dollar donated to Hawaii Foodbank can provide two meals with that one dollar, so we can stretch that dollar and get good and healthy food to our Maui community” shares president and CEO, Amy Miller Marvin.

Today the community is invited to drop off donations at different locations.

You can come here to the waterfront plaza to drop off your donations. Or you can go to other locations including pearl city shopping center, town center of Mililani, or the windward city shopping center.

You can stop by any of these locations from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. today. You can make a monetary donation by clicking here
